Hawk (Cooper's?) in the tree in my front yard.
A pair of these hawks like to hunt in front of my house. Picture taken through my front window.
Notice the blood around the mouth.
Owls from last year. Three babies and the mother, in a tree down the block.
This duck is nesting in the bushes outside our house, and we have counted 12 eggs.
12 eggs, just in time for Easter.
Sandhill Cranes. Jasper-Pulaski State Park, Indiana: http://www.in.gov/dnr/fishwild/3091.htm
200 mm lens + 2x teleconverter + gf1 2x sensor crop = 800 mm field of view ( and Maggie took the cooler picture with the 3mp cam in my phone)
I could barely see this bird from the ground -- like shooting through a telescope.
I am in the water up to my waist, and way to close to this swan.
Why do I keep taking pictures of gulls?
